Family Portraits & Mini Sessions

Family is everything. Let us capture yours in a natural and fun way! We offer sessions both indoors at our Williamsville, NY studio or outdoors at your Western New York location of choice.

Memories are fleeting. Photographs are forever.

There’s nothing more important than family. Period. As the years fly by, memories fade… and before you know it, it’s hard to remember every detail about the moments that made it all so special. That’s why we work so hard to capture beautiful family photographs: So you can preserve this beautiful moment in time forever.

Families come in all shapes and sizes. . .

… so do our family photography packages! We offer 30 minute Mini Family Sessions and 1 hour Full Family Sessions. For large groups, we also offer Extended Family Sessions. Throughout the year, we offer Mini Session Events. Ask about our Maternity Sessions & Senior Portraits too!

  • Heather and Renee are amazing to work with! They are so much fun and make you feel so comfortable. They were great with my three littles and made the experience enjoyable!

  • The studio is in a great location, very open, super clean, and with the cutest sets! The pictures turned out amazing and we were so happy with our experience! Definitely recommend!

  • I could not be more pleased with my son's senior photos. It is not every day that my teenager loves something as much as I do. Heather truly has an artistic gift and I am glad she was willing to share it with us.

Family Photography FAQ

  • Wear something that reflects each person's style and personality. Keep in mind that earth tones and solid colors are best so that you can be the focus of the photograph—not your sweater. Props are great! If it's fall, wear your favorite hat. If it's winter, bundle up in a cute scarf. Summer? Bring matching sunglasses. Some families come dressed in matching or coordinating outfits. And other families simply wear each person's favorite outfit. It's up to you—and feel free to have fun with it!

  • Absolutely! We love including your four-legged family members. Here's a handful of things to think about:

    • Don't leave home without a leash, poo bags, lots of treats, their favorite toy, realistic expectations, and an extra person to lend a hand.

    • Tire them out before hand. If your dog tends to be full with energy, it’s a great idea to make sure they’ve had plenty of time to run before we meet for your engagement photo shoot. You know your dog best, so plan in advance for their energy level.

    • Plan to include your dog in just half of our engagement photo shoot. We'll iron out the details, but ultimately it works best to only worry about including your dog for half of our time together.

    • Keep your dog’s personality in mind. We don't want to stress them out! Consider the circumstances in which your dog is most comfortable.

    • Don't skimp on treats and toys. They're both a great way for us to get the attention of your pups. A squeaky toy can be super effective. And if you have any other toys that your dog loves, bring those along too!

    • Be patient. When we first meet your dog, we'll give them time to sniff us and get comfortable with us. Once they seem calm and ready to go, we can get some great photos of them. Most people end up loving the more candid, in-between photos featuring their dogs. Go with the flow and we'll take care of the rest!

  • Believe it or not, cloudy days are great for photo shoots because they're usually full of natural but diffuse light. While downpours may be a reason to change a date, light sprinkles are no problem. We'll let you know if we need to reschedule.

  • We usually recommend early morning (for those early risers) or 1-2 hours before sunset. The lighting is best at these times and usually works well for most. We're always willing to schedule a shoot when it works best for your schedule, but we try to avoid the mid-day sun.

  • We book family photography sessions up to 2 months in advance. If you are looking to schedule your session for a weekend, then it is best to schedule as soon as you can! When you request a quote, you'll be able to let us know your desired date and we'll let you know right away if we're available.
