Holiday Valley Wedding – Ellicottville, NY

From the quaint ski-town feel to the great outdoors ambiance, Holiday Valley Lodge was the perfect place for Rose and Donald to marry.

Their wedding was filled with love as both Rose and Donald were surround by family and friends as they said “I do.”

Rose’s stunning A-Line dress with lace sleeves (it’s a bodysuit!) complemented her bridesmaids who were dressed in all different styles in blush and her now husband and his groomsmen dressed in navy so well; it was picture perfect!

Rose and Donald met when they were younger and both working at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Rose said “most of the employees would go out after work together so we got to know each other better. We started hanging out more and always had a great time together, it was just easy and not forced. It didn’t take long to realize what an amazing guy Don is.” Don remembered a cute and funny first impression they shared. “We were cleaning the store after close and I was dancing to ‘Drop It Low’ and Rosanna saw me and yelled “get it!” and I dove behind a clothing rack. After that embarrassment, I finally asked her out and we’ve been laughing and having fun together since.”

When asked what each other’s favorite things are about their significant other, their responses were almost word for word! Rose said, “we are not afraid of a good time, we’re hardworking and family is important to us.” Donald said, “we aren’t scared to be the first ones on the dance floor, we share the same values, and we work hard for the things that are important to us.”

Both the bride and groom love to be outdoors. We asked them what their ideal day spent together would entail. Don said his ideal day would consist of “trailering [sic] our kayaks behind our bikes to where we drop our kayaks in the water and float around for a few hours. I’d be down for some ice cream and burgers at some point in there.”  And for Rose, it would be “slowly waking up, heading to a nice breakfast with enough coffee, then a nice hike or bike ride, really anything outside. Then ending the day on the couch with a movie or show and some snacks. I love relaxing days just the two of us.”

Rose and Don are both foodies. Between enjoying snacks on their ideal day together, to indulging in the delicious cookies at their wedding, to both saying “Pizza!” when we asked what is the one food they could eat for the rest of their lives, these two really know how to enjoy the sweeter side of life.

We asked our newlyweds “how is your life different because of your fiance?” Rose told us “I’m happy and he makes life fun. I know I have someone who will stand by my side through anything. He supports and encourages me and my dreams while keeping me grounded.” Don told us “I eat a lot healthier #gotridofthedeepfryer. I’m happier because no matter how hard of a day I had I’m always in a better mood when I get home.”

The bride and groom had a cigar bar for their guests and the dance floor was filled all night! The whole day was filled with so much love and fun!

How sweet is Grandma with her stogie?!
