Wedding Photography Workflow
What to expect from your wedding photographer after your big day
You are engaged! You meet with several photographers and look through their portfolios to see if they have captured other wedding days in the style you envision for your own wedding.
You hire a talented photographer who you trust to document the most important day of your life. The wedding day comes and goes and is all you hoped it would be….
What happens now?
It’s difficult for most couples who are planning their wedding to think beyond the wedding day itself and what to expect from your wedding photographer after the wedding. Planning a wedding is such a HUGE endeavor that you naturally are laser focused on making that one day perfect. From observing and working with my own clients, I can tell you what to expect after the wedding.
As a wedding photographer, I strive to deliver photos in a timely manner as well as to manage my clients’ expectations.
I’ve made it a priority to streamline my post-production photographer workflow. This is what my clients can expect after the wedding:
1-2 days after the wedding: A few photos posted to social media
8-10 weeks after the wedding: All photos delivered via digital download & password gallery
8-10 weeks after the wedding: A ‘Selection Website’ for choosing your album images
8-10 weeks after the wedding: Thumb drive or DVD of images mailed to you
10-12 weeks after the wedding: Album digital preview
10-12 weeks after the wedding: A blog post of some of my favorites
12 weeks after the wedding: Album delivery
I know that post-production is not always important right up front, but it will be of utmost importance to you after the wedding!
